Comprehensive Training from Intraoral Scanning to Guided Surgery Delivered at the Osstem Meeting Digital Training Course

The Korean Academy of Implant Dentistry (KAID) hosted a Digital Training Course at the Osstem Meeting Seoul on the 20th, providing participants with a systematic,

end-to-end learning experience covering the entire clinical workflow of digital implantology. The program offered intensive, practice-oriented education in intraoral scanning,

guided surgery, and digital treatment planning — workflows that can be directly applied in everyday clinical practice.

The course was structured around a hands-on format, allowing each participant to personally operate digital equipment throughout the program.

A distinctive feature of this training was its integrated curriculum design, enabling attendees to experience the complete digital workflow — from diagnosis and treatment planning,

through surgery, to final prosthetic restoration — as a single, seamlessly connected process.

In his welcoming address, Prof. Kwan-tae Noh, Vice President of KAID, emphasized:

"Implant treatment yields the most accurate and predictable outcomes when every stage —

diagnosis, planning, surgery and final prosthetic restoration — is integrated into a single, unified digital workflow."

He further remarked:

"This training course was designed to go beyond conventional lectures.

Participants are given the opportunity to directly operate digital devices and acquire practical workflows that can be immediately implemented in their own clinical settings.

We hope that today's experience will translate into meaningful change — advancing patient-centered care and clinical safety — and serve as a significant step forward for

KAID as it celebrates its 50th anniversary and continues its journey toward becoming a globally recognized academic society."
