Terms of Service
Terms of Service for Website Use 1. Purpose The purpose of these Terms is to stipulate the conditions and procedures for the use of the information services (hereinafter referred to as the “Services”), as well as the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the users and the Korean Academy of Implant Dentistry (hereinafter referred to as the “Academy”), for the website operated by the Academy (https://kaidimplant.or.kr/, hereinafter referred to as the “Website”). 2. Effect and Amendment of the Terms a. These Terms take effect upon being posted on the Website or otherwise notified to users. b. The Academy may amend these Terms without prior notice, to the extent that such amendments do not violate relevant laws, and the amended Terms will take effect in the same manner as set forth in Paragraph a. c. Users who do not agree to the amended Terms may discontinue use of the Services and request membership withdrawal. 3. Matters Not Specified in the Terms Matters not specified in these Terms shall be governed by relevant laws and regulations, including the 「Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc.」 and the 「Personal Information Protection Act」, as well as the rules of the Academy. 4. Membership Registration a. A person who wishes to use the Services shall apply for membership by filling out the membership form prescribed by the Website and agreeing to these Terms. b. The Academy may refuse membership registration in the following cases: 1) Application under another person’s name 2) Submission of false information 3) Acts that may harm public order or morals 4) Other cases deemed inappropriate by the Academy 5. Member Obligations a. Members shall comply with these Terms and relevant laws and shall not engage in the following acts: 1) Stealing another person’s personal information 2) Interfering with the operation of the Website 3) Infringing on the intellectual property rights of the Academy or third parties 4) Acts contrary to public order or good morals 5) Other acts in violation of relevant laws b. Members must promptly update their information through the Website if any changes occur, and members are responsible for any issues arising from failure to do so. 6. Provision and Changes of Services a. The Academy provides the following services: 1) Academy news and announcements 2) Academic conference information and pre-registration 3) Member information management 4) Viewing and downloading of academic materials 5) Other services determined by the Academy b. The Academy may change or discontinue part or all of the Services and will notify users in advance in such cases. 7. Restriction and Suspension of Service Use a. The Academy may restrict or suspend the Services in the following cases: 1) Unavoidable reasons such as regular system maintenance, server expansion, or repairs 2) Force majeure such as natural disasters, power outages, or communication failures 3) When a user violates relevant laws or these Terms b. The Academy shall not be liable for any issues arising from service suspension. 8. Copyright and Usage Restrictions a. All materials posted on the Website are copyrighted by the Academy or their providers, and users shall not reproduce, transmit, distribute, modify, or publish them without authorization. b. Users shall not use the Services for commercial purposes without prior consent from the Academy. 9. Personal Information Protection The Academy values members’ personal information and protects it safely in accordance with the 「Personal Information Protection Act」 and other relevant laws. Details are governed by the Privacy Policy. 10. Disclaimer a. The Academy shall not be responsible for service interruptions caused by natural disasters, force majeure, or reasons attributable to the user. b. The Academy shall not be responsible for any loss of expected profits or benefits from the use of the Services. 11. Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction Disputes related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Academy for the first instance. Supplementary Provision • These Terms shall take effect from June 10, 2025.

Privacy Policy Information
Privacy Policy The Korean Academy of Implant Dentistry (hereinafter referred to as the "Academy") complies with the Personal Information Protection Act and other related laws and makes every effort to protect members' personal information. This policy explains how the Academy handles personal information collected through its website. 1. Items and Methods of Personal Information Collection 1) Items Collected - Required: Name, date of birth, gender, mobile phone number, email, license number, affiliated hospital/institution, membership type (specialist, general practitioner, etc.), user ID, password - Optional: Address, academic conference participation history, annual fee payment records, academic activity records, etc. 2) Methods of Collection - Via online forms during website membership registration and service use - Written or electronic registration during offline application or academic conference registration - Through emails, phone calls, or faxes for member inquiries and complaints 2. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information The Academy uses the collected personal information for the following purposes: 1) Member management: Membership registration and verification, identity verification, qualification verification, assignment of membership levels 2) Academic conference operation: Pre-registration, participation fee payment, abstract submission, issuance of participation certificates 3) Service provision: Sending newsletters, journal delivery, announcements 4) Accounting: Verification of annual fee and registration fee payments, issuance of tax invoices 5) Statistical analysis and research: Member statistics, analysis of academic activities, etc. 3. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information 1) In principle, personal information is destroyed without delay once the purpose of collection and use is achieved. 2) However, certain information will be retained for a specified period in accordance with relevant laws: - Membership registration information: 5 years after membership withdrawal - Accounting and tax-related information: 5 years (National Tax Basic Act, Value-Added Tax Act, etc.) - Academic conference participation records: 3 years (for record-keeping purposes) 4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties The Academy does not provide members' personal information to external parties, except in the following cases: 1) When prior consent has been obtained from the information subject 2) When required by law (e.g., request from the National Tax Service, police, etc.) 5. Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing For smooth service provision, the Academy may outsource personal information processing as follows: - Service Provider: Web hosting company / Email delivery service Task: Website operation and system management, email delivery Retention Period: Until the end of the contract - Service Provider: Payment gateway (PG) company Task: Processing of registration and annual fee payments Retention Period: Retained according to relevant laws, then destroyed ※ All outsourcing contracts include clauses specifying necessary measures for personal information protection and management supervision. 6. Rights of Information Subjects and How to Exercise Them 1) Members may view or modify their personal information at any time and may request membership withdrawal. 2) Requests for access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing can be made via the My Page section of the website or by email. 3) A legal representative may request access to or correction of the personal information of a child under the age of 14. 7. Procedures and Methods for Destruction of Personal Information 1) Personal information is destroyed without delay once the collection and use purposes have been fulfilled, in accordance with internal policies and relevant laws. 2) Destruction methods: - Electronic files: Deleted using technical methods that prevent recovery - Paper documents: Destroyed by shredding or incineration 8. Measures to Ensure the Safety of Personal Information The Academy implements the following technical and administrative measures to protect personal information: • Restricting access to personal information and training administrators • Applying Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption • Encrypting stored passwords • Operating security programs to prevent hacking and viruses 9.
