The Korean Academy of Implant Dentistry (KAID), a pioneer in the advancement of implant dentistry in Korea, recently hosted an International Scientific Meeting in celebration of its 50th anniversary.

The meeting was attended by approximately 200 domestic dental professionals, along with 45 international participants, including 40 dentists from Philippines and 5 from Taiwan. During the event, researchers shared their latest findings, and KAID further strengthened its international partnerships by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Philippines Academy of Implant Dentistry (PAID) to promote global cooperation in the field of implant dentistry.

Through this agreement, the two organizations will collaborate in the following areas: academic and research exchange; cooperation in international scientific meetings and educational programs; exchange of speakers and educational personnel; joint research and clinical advancement; and the enhancement of education and training programs.

In addition, both parties agreed to promote the advancement of implant dentistry and expand their global network through joint academic events, the sharing of research materials, and collaborative publications.

This agreement will remain in effect for three years, and both organizations intend to build a long-term partnership based on mutual respect and cooperation.

Regarding the 50th Anniversary International Scientific Meeting, KAID president Soung Min Kim stated, “This meeting, commemorating our 50th anniversary, serves not only as an opportunity to reflect on our achievements over the past five decades, but also as a meaningful occasion to renew our commitment to shared future. KAID will continue to expand global academic exchange, further strengthen international collaboration, and actively support the growth of the next generation of clinicians and researchers.”
