To fulfill this mission, we hereby pledge to observe the following principles of implant dentistry:

  • We shall respect the noble traditions and honor of medicine in the procedures of artificial dental implants and the restorative implantation of surrounding organs.
  • An implant practitioner must have comprehensive medical knowledge, particularly rigorous training and experience in surgery, as well as sufficient expertise in prosthodontics.
  • An implant practitioner shall accurately recognize the indications for implant procedures and respect the established criteria and recommendations for their success and efficacy.
  • In performing implant procedures, an implant practitioner shall not be swayed by profit motives, but shall always deliberate upon and selectively provide the patient with the most reliable surgical methods and biomaterials.
  • An implant practitioner shall thoroughly explain the principles of surgery to the patient and exchange sufficient opinions regarding artificial biomaterials, their implantation to the human body, and postoperative care. By delivering beneficial and successful treatments, the practitioner is to contribute to the happiness and good health of humanity.
